Molly Di Rienzo, a student in the Master of Arts in Political Science degree program, completed a graduate internship with the Global Peace Foundation. Molly was able to complete this internship remotely, which is an option for some students. Molly shared her thoughts about the internship:
“Over the summer, I had the opportunity to intern at the Global Peace
Foundation (GPF), specifically their Freedom of Conscience, Belief,
and Religion (FCBR) department. The GPF is an organization engaged in
a nonsectarian and nonpartisan approach to peacebuilding with public
and private sector partners, operating in over 24 countries. The GPF
also serves as a co-chair for the International Religious Freedom
Roundtable. While at GPF, I was an assistant program specialist tasked
with researching international religious freedom violations and First
Amendment rights for their sister organization, First Amendment Voice.
Additionally, I helped create educational materials for a
train-the-trainer program intended for international and domestic
dissemination. The most enjoyable aspect of this internship was being
able to write and publish my own op-ed on a religious freedom topic of
my choosing and networking with amazing people.”
