Hord earned her bachelor's degree in political science with a concentration in pre-professional legal studies and a minor in criminal justice in 2019. She continued her education at Campbell Law where she graduated in May of 2022, obtaining a Juris Doctor. During law school, Abby served as an intern for NC Supreme Court Chief Justice Paul Newby and externed for Judge Frank Whitney of the US District Court for the Western District of North Carolina. She also helped to lead the Moot Court team to several wins.
She credits her achievements to the incredibly valuable faculty in the GJS program, particularly Dr. Ellen Key, who served as her honors thesis advisor and role model throughout her undergraduate years.
