A student in the Criminal Justice program, Peter Vandenberg completed his internship with Appalachain State University Police Department. The purpose of this organization is to help provide a safe environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors to learn and work. He had this to say about her internship experience:
"Through this internship I was able to better myself in this field through my internship. Report writing, officer comments, interactions with the public, the different situations we encountered, and the people I worked with really helped solidify my passion for criminal justice and my desire to continue to pursue a career in it. I want to go into law enforcement so being able to learn and experience what it is like outside of the classroom was an incredible opportunity. After graduation I would like a career in the Federal arena such as the ATF."
