Course Summary: This course combines an academic examination of criminal justice policy with meeting justice-related professionals and agencies involved in these issues.  Justice in D.C. is a 3-credit course in the Department of Government and Justice Studies and will include both classroom teaching and a week in Washington, D.C.  During our time in Washington, D.C., we will meet with domestic and international criminal justice agencies as well as non-governmental organizations that deal with issues of domestic and transnational crime, homeland security, and social justice.   Last year, our meetings included the CIA, Department of State, Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, U.S. Capitol Police, and the International Justice Mission, among others.
