Dr. William Pollock

Dr. William Pollock joined the Department of Government and Justice Studies in 2018. He holds B.S. and M.A. degrees in Political Science from Florida State University, and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Stony Brook University. His primary teaching and research interests are in the field of American Politics, with specific focus on public opinion, political psychology, and the political communication. Dr. Pollock's research has been featured in the American Political Science Review, European Political Science, and Communication Methods and Measures. Current research projects examine the role of candidate demeanor in voter evaluation of politicians, voter reactions to political scandals, and psychological biases in issue voting.
